The Vaille Mansion was originally built in 1881 as home for Colonel Harvey Vaille and his family, and was considered to be a pinnacle of modernity for the period. The historic building is located four blocks northeast of the Truman Museum and the library. Today, visitors to the residence have the opportunity to tour the 31 rooms, gawk at the nine fireplaces, explore the 48,000-bottle wine cellar, and much more.
